Listen with “SOFT EYES” and compassion: Listen to each other’s stories with compassion and understanding. We find that of ourselves in each other, and in our varied experiences.

Honor the Offerings: Practice deep confidentiality, double confidentiality: From the Quaker community practice of clearness committees: we commit ourselves to a deep confidentiality which promises that you will not speak outside this group of what is shared. Not only do you keep it in confidence but you only bring up the subject with the person who has shared; at their own request.

When things are difficult turn to wonder: We all learn most effectively in spaces where we feel safe — unjudged and uncriticized. Commit yourself to this safe approach of being together. When ideas seem foreign or uncomfortable reserve your opinions, and seek to turn to wonder. From KNOWING to WONDERING!

Stress

If you feel triggers from experiences that leave you feeling a sense of out of control or overly emotional for the content of the experience. You may be experiencing emotional trauma.

Fear

If you have small flashes of pictures, smells or impressions that leave a bigger than life emotional reaction you may be experiencing memories that have been stored to protect you.

Pain

If physical symptoms show up in an unexplained fashion you may be having physical reactions to emotional or spiritual injuries.

habits

If you continue to do the same activity or use the same substance expecting a different outcome there may be underlying reasons beyond treatment and support groups.

Numbness

If you find yourself spinning in an anxious state without a centered in your life place you may be ungrounded or spiritually bypassing your days.

My Story

Nature and adventure were my friends as an Intuitive Child in Beautiful Decorah, Iowa, adventuring through the Bluffs around the springs and waterfalls. As an adult I found my intuitive skills to be such an asset with children in my care as a Special Education Teacher. I raised two children alongside my husband and had experiences with adventures by cycle tours, living among our Inuit neighbors in Nome, Alaska and campus ministry trips with college students.

Along side my many great experiences was a hidden inner self that Dissociated from childhood trauma. Learning to embrace all that I am and all that I had hidden has been a beautiful awakening. I have learned what a gift and amazing way of surviving I accomplished and know that my Spirit was Unbroken in that protective cocoon until I was able to come to a healing space and spread my wings to fly. What I have to offer is the gift to accompany others in their own journey of self discovery and healing.
