Timely Information about opportunities to face Collective Healing in our own community.  The Truth and Meaning Movement is now and the Racial Justice Team at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church is offering some education opportunities from the ELCA.  In september there will be screenings of programs on Indigenous issues, with specific focus on the Indian Boarding Schools.  Come to the meeting space to hear conversations with Indian Boarding School Survivors on September 13, 2023  7:00-8:00pm  come early and get settled in.  A conversation will be facitated afterwards for those who would like to stay.

My training in Multigenerational healing and collective healing began in College with a class from Martin Brokenleg and Augustana in Sioux Falls.   Some more time was spent learning of experiences and ways to be as I worked with boys in Northern Minnesota.  Fast forward to 1993-1997 and living in Nome Alaska with Inupiat Inuit peoples where the multigenerational trauma was at the foreground.   Epidemics, boarding school, loss of language, alcohol and refined sugar abuse, and drugs and suicide were all affecting the people.  There was also a deep natural known spirituality and resilience.  I learned far more than I gave in any of those settings.  After training in Inuitive Healing and Collective Healing(or spirit connection and prayer in a guided setting) I am going to be traveling to another hands on learning experience in Peru in December.  I feel like all of these experiences are coming together in a deep way in a time when we need to sit back and listen and learn and heal our hearts.

If you are able please join us for this first in a series of conversations….

With Peace for our collective growing forward.
